Located on Hollywood and Vine only one mile from the Hollywood Roxy Hotel, the Pantages Theater is one of the oldest and most popular live event theaters in Hollywood. Featuring an unmistakable art deco style, the Pantages opened in 1930 and has been home to some of the biggest and most popular Broadway plays and musicals. In its 80 plus year history the Pantages has hosted hit shows like The Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King, Rock of Ages, The Sound of Music, Les Miserables, Rent, Stomp, Wicked, Mamma Mia, Grease, Dirty Dancing, Chicago, Jersey Boys, and many others.

Over the years the area surrounding the Pantages Theater has changed quite a bit. Situated in a great location, the area has seen a recent rejuvenation boom with the addition of Bob Hope Square, which features several popular restaurants and access to the Hollywood/Vine Metro Transit Station. The Pantages itself went through a $10-million restoration in 2000.

In addition to live plays and musicals, The Pantages also occasionally hosts live music acts. Recently, acts like the Foo Fighters and Shakira have performed at The Pantages. It is also a popular shooting location and has been used in many Hollywood films and TV productions.
